# Lifts and Slopes

Around the village of each Ski Resort are the beautiful mountains, waiting for the Riders to hit the slopes. **Investors can buy lifts and slopes, which can either be provided to other players for competitions and events or can be transformed into a Snow Park** (read more in the following subsections). 

As you will see, Lifts and Slopes have what Village Land doesn't and vice versa: The big advantage is that you can directly buy Lifts and Slopes without having to buy land first. The disadvantage is that you only have little influence in the monetary policy of your investments, as they will be pre-set by the algorithm.
